Keeping Record of Fish Caught
Have you recorded any fish you caught? Perhaps in a notebook or an album like collecting stamps. I have. I started recording a fish I caught in a notebook when my uncle took us (me and my two brothers) on vacation at a resort in Pennsylvania. It was the largest largemouth bass I caught - 7lb 3/4oz. It still is. That was when I was in high school many years ago. I have already forgotten where I placed the notebook because I didn't follow up recording fish I caught until I started Fishbelly.
The urge of recording and collecting fish caught started when Fishbelly's potential customers asked what fish are caught with the lures it designed and produced to show that they catch fish and they work. Especially at consumer fishing trade shows, attendees are always intrigued when there are displays of fish at the booth since it's a dialogue starter for curious fishermen and fisherwomen. Inevitably, consumers asked what kind of fish are caught with each of our lures and how they are used to catch fish consistently. From that point onward, I started taking pictures and record how I use each lure to catch the fish. Here are the fish I caught so far with the Fishbelly lures, mostly with the Hawg Shad:

As you can see from the pictures, I have started to record a collection of fish caught with the Fishbelly lures, mostly from the Hawg Shad. I still have a lot more to go. My goal is to catch all the predator fish in the world using the Fishbelly lures, perhaps a collection of fish with each type of lures i.e. Bushido Shad, Hawg Shad, Helix Buzz, Popper Shad, Shinai Shad, Tri-fin Kick-S Shad. While I am recording all the fish caught with the Fishbelly lures, it would not hurt to keep a separate record of the largest fish for each species caught with each type of Fishbelly lures. This would be my ultimate goal to achieve in my lifetime.

Hawgshad have been my secret go to bait for almost 10 years. I have a ton of success as a dropshot bait and weightless like a fluke. I have my favorite colors and sizes, but for the most part I try to match the hatch, or bait. I catch large and small mouth bass with these baits on every trip.
